Tales from the days of our lives

Sunday, family time

Arose at 9am this morning and went straight into a game of tickle with Angel Girl…laughter, hugs and kisses.  After a morning of getting to know WordPress I rushed to Spar  to collect some fresh veg for a late  healthy lunch at 2pm.  The it was off to Sun Valley playpark, quite a few children were playing, two sisters and their mom, a granny with her grandson and doggy….oh yes, when we first arrived there was a mom and her daughter about Angel girls age (5)…she was wearing a t-shirt that said:

“I Love You, BUT”

and on the back it said…

“MY LOVE IS ENOUGH FOR ME…”

…most likely a single mom!  Complemented her on the T!!

Sun Valley Play Park near Fish Hoek 23rd May 2010

Funny how kids never want to leave when it’s time to go home…my daughter is drawn to dogs..and they seem to take to her too;   this particular pup decided to feast on the leftover McFlurry of the two girls….oops!  It was round and round on the roundabout,  monkey bars, swings and slide.  The laughter of kids playing….nothing quite like it

Just before we left we spotted this cloud formation……

Interesting cloud formation

After the park we decided to head down to Fish Hoek beach for a walk, we hadn’t been in ages.  We dipped our feet in the freezing ocean, ran, played and laughed on the beach.  We also saw lots of seagulls.  After another session of play at the beach park it was time for a chocolate soft serve in a cup with a flake and a Capuccino for Mom.

We headed home and had a lovely dinner of grilled spicy potato wedges, baked lemon pepper fish fillet, carrots and peas and a lettuce, cucumber, tomato, spring onion and celery with balsamic vinegar.  I am heading for the sheets now..cheerio till next time…

  1. What a great surprise to see you here!!! Halfpint also made herself a blog here over the weekend. I felt lost in the beginning – but now I’m starting to read quite a few international blogs and its GREAT to interact with such a wider international audience. I’m busy compiling a list for Granny – will send it to you to. Mwah!
